The parents group that organized the Family Fun Run would like to thank everyone who had come out to participate in the run. The weather was great and everyone had fun. Congratulations to the following students who won prizes for the most pledges collected. Jessica Hourie (collected $305.00) won the netbook, Kristie Lafond (collected $205.00) won an ipod touch, Mackenzie Scott (collected $201.00)received a digital camera, Jessica Langlois (collected $141.00) received a $100 One Tooth gift certificate and Bailey Vancoughnett (collected $125)received a MP3 player. Congratulations girls!
We would also like to thank the parent committee for their time and efforts in trying something new. You are all very much appreciated.

Family Fun Run for Rivier
The Rivier Parents Association is planning a Family Fun Run on Saturday, May 15, 2010, to help raise funds for a new mobile computer lab to replace the present one. All participants will have a choice of walking, jogging or running, 5k or 10k distances. Weather permitting, the 10k distance will begin at 1:00pm and the 5k distance will begin at 1:30pm. Each participant will receive a Rivier Fun Run T-shirt. Refreshments will be provided after the run.
Rather than an entry fee, we will be asking for pledges, a minimum of $50 per student or bring your whole family for $75 worth of pledges. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $10 or more. The student that raises the highest dollar amount of pledges, handed in by the early bird date will be eligible to win a Computer Netbook. Pledge sheets announcing the early bird date will be handed out to students on March 12th.
We are encouraging all families of the student body to attend and participate. Our goal is to make this a fun day for the students, teachers and families.
In order for all participants to be rewarded, we would like to know how many runners, joggers, or walkers from your family will be attending. For those who would like to attend but not participate, we will need volunteers. Please RSVP by completing the form that was mailed home and return it to the school office.
