Rivier Academy Updates: Voyage 'MR 2010

A Rivier Travel meeting for Grade 11 students and their parents will take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Rivier Academy.

Welcome

Welcome to Rivier Academy and all that it offers. We aim to provide a peaceful atmosphere where students and staff can live and share their faith; where students experience happiness and friendship in a respectful manner; where students can develop leadership qualities; where students are challenged to do their best and become involved in the larger community. This year we are invited to step out of our comfort zone, to trust in the future and to go beyond where miracles happen. Miracles do happen!

Each of us has a personal comfort zone and the idea of stepping out of it can be scary. Little do we realize that if we go beyond what we know and the ways in which we usually behave, a new life is awaiting us, a life full of surprises. We tend to be afraid of change, of failure or doing things differently. It takes courage to face new challenges, to accept the invitations of the Gospel. Ask yourself what is the most difficult invitation put to you by the Lord.

This year we invite our staff, students and families to accept the challenge to go beyond by being grateful for life and the many opportunities that come our way. In doing so, together we will "weave a community that generates hope and life".
